Walk-in-clinic in Lamar set to expand hours on Feb. 3
Starting on February 3, 2020, CoxHealth's walk-in clinic in Lamar expanded hours to 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Access to health care in Barton County just got easier: Starting Monday, Feb. 3, CoxHealth's walk-in clinic in Lamar will expand its hours from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Care is available to anyone at the clinic, regardless if they're an established patient.
“When my family and I moved to Lamar last year, one of the first things I heard from our community was the need for extended hours in our walk-in clinic,” said Chris Wyatt, president of Cox Barton County Hospital. “As a father of three young children, I know firsthand that patients may need care early in the morning or late at night. We listened to what our community had to say, and I’m glad that we are able to expand hours to meet their needs.”
The walk-in clinic is located inside the Medical One Clinic, which is located at 29 NW 1st Lane in Lamar and is attached to Cox Barton County Hospital. Its providers will see patients for mild to moderate injuries, such as broken bones, sprains, fractures, cuts, certain infections, rashes and more.
No appointment is necessary to be treated at the clinic. However, it does offer Save My Spot, a program that allows patients to request a time they’d like to be seen in advance and wait at home.
Patients who have questions about the walk-in clinic may call 417-681-5266.
