Two CoxHealth hospitals earn top rating for excellence in patient satisfaction
Cox Monett Hospital and Cox Barton County Hospital are the only two critical access hospitals out of 36 in Missouri to receive a 5-star rating for patient satisfaction from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This is the fifth time that Cox Monett has received the highest rating for patient satisfaction from CMS and the second time Cox Barton County has received the top rating. The reporting period was third quarter 2017 through second quarter 2018.
CoxHealth security team has new access to crime database
CoxHealth is now the only private entity in Missouri to have direct access to a state and national database for quick, up-to-date crime information. Our security department is now connected to the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement (MULES) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). This law enforcement-only system provides a higher level of security at our facilities by giving us immediate access to information on wanted persons, missing persons, stolen property, driver’s licenses, license plates and more.

Springfield high school students display their CoxHealth presentations
High school students in the health care track of the GOCAPS program work with CoxHealth leaders and departments each semester on capstone projects. This week, more than 30 GOCAPS students highlighted their work at an event at Cox South. I am very impressed with this program and the work of these bright future medical professionals.
Proud to work at CoxHealth
“My aunt had surgery at Cox South and I went to go check up on her. My aunt had nothing but praise for her surgeon and the staff taking care of her. While I was visiting, the cleaning lady came in and she was very courteous and sweet! Just wanted to say thank you to CoxHealth for being so awesome! I am an employee at FDC and it really makes me happy seeing how awesome we are!”
Voice of the patient
“I just wanted to thank your pediatric nurses and orthopedic surgeon for doing such an amazing job with my son! From the moment we walked through your doors, the staff was amazing -- from the security guard who sat with our son inside while my husband parked the car, to the nurses who were so patient and loving to him. The surgeon, Dr. Jang, went above and beyond to help ease my son's anxiety with a blue cast and a few extra minutes of time speaking with him. I cannot give enough stars to show my gratitude! His day nurse, Jill, knew he could not get up to join today's Easter egg hunt, so she brought the Easter Bunny to him! His face lit up and it made a rough day that much better!”
Thank you for all you do for CoxHealth,
Steve
