Company sends incorrect information to CoxHealth patients

Missouri Care, a Medicaid insurance provider that contracts with CoxHealth, accidentally distributed letters to patients stating they are no longer able to receive services at CoxHealth. The company has acknowledged their mistake and we are working with them to help communicate to our patients to avoid any confusion. Missouri Care will notify patients directly that this was an error. Individuals with questions about this may call 417-269-INFO.

CoxHealth, Mid-America Transplant dedicate first-of-its-kind family room

Cox Medical Center South has been chosen as the site for the first Mid-America Transplant Gift of Life Family Room for families waiting through the donation process. The private room, located in a section of the intensive care waiting area on the ground floor at Cox South, was dedicated in honor of Bob Bezanson, former CoxHealth president and CEO, during a special ribbon cutting ceremony this week.

Newest CoxHealth urgent care opens next week

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held today at CoxHealth’s second urgent care in Springfield. The facility located at 1429 W. Sunshine St., will open Monday, October 21 to the community.

CoxHealth welcomes new physician

Daniel Bravin, MD has joined CoxHealth and is seeing patients in the CoxHealth Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Clinic.

CoxHealth launches flex scheduling program

CoxHealth has launched a new program offering flexible as-needed (PRN) shifts at Cox South in Environmental Services and Food Services.Applicants for these new Flex PRN positions can select shifts that fit their schedules and work when they want. Participants can choose their own “quick shift,” ranging from two to six hours. The project began as an employee pitch in CoxHealth’s 2019 Innovation Accelerator. It was selected for rapid development through a 90-day innovation process known as IN 90.

CoxHealth participates in earthquake drill

CoxHealth was once again an official participant in this week’s annual U.S. Shake Out Earthquake Drill. Employees sent in photos as they practiced "Drop, Cover and Hold On" and other aspects of their department’s emergency plan.

Trunk or Treat events for families Oct. 31

Families throughout the Ozarks are invited to bring their children for fun and safe events at two Trunk or Treat events on Oct. 31 at Meyer Orthopedic & Rehabilitation Hospital and Cox Branson. The annual events help keep children away from high-traffic areas and unknown neighborhoods by inviting them to the medical centers to collect treats.
