CoxHealth offers additional COVID-19 booster for those over 50

CoxHealth is now offering an additional COVID-19 booster dose for people over age 50 and certain immunocompromised individuals who received an initial booster dose at least four months ago.

The CDC recently expanded eligibility for the additional booster dose based on the increased risk of severe disease in certain populations, including those who are over the age of 50 or who have specific underlying conditions. These populations are most likely to benefit from an additional booster dose at this time. You can see the full CDC guidance at this link.
