Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Current American Heart Association for Healthcare providers BLS Certification is required for enrollment in any clinical course at Cox College. Failure to provide proof of current certification or registration for this class may prohibit your admission into your clinical courses.
Curriculum will include adult, child and infant CPR; relief of foreign body obstruction in the adult, child and infant; two-man CPR-adult, child and infant; use of bag-mask ventilation; and use of an automatic electronic defibrillator (AED). A written test will require an 84% or greater for passing. You will be evaluated on your ability to perform the above listed skills and all participants will need to demonstrate proficiency of CPR skills on manikins.

- Option 1 - BLS for Healthcare Provider Live Classroom (offered evening and weekend), 3 ½ - 4 hours - $50.00
- Option 2 - BLS for Healthcare Provider Online Part 1 with Skills Checks (offered during the day), 2-3 hours (1.5 hours completed at home via the computer, 45 minutes for one-on-one skills check in our office) - $57.00
