Guaranteed Admissions Program

Cox College is offering a Guaranteed Admissions Program for those students seeking a degree in either our Associates in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing Entry Level program. This program is for those students that meet the below requirements for their desired program. Applications for either program may be submitted as soon as the qualifications are met.
Qualifications for the Guaranteed Acceptance Program (GAP)
for the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program
ASN program application
ASN - The first twenty correct and completed applications received will be admitted under the GAP program. All applications received after the maximum number has been reached will be placed in the regular acceptance process.
- Meet the application deadline for the appropriate nursing program.
- ASN applicants must complete the four core science courses (Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition and Microbiology) and 6 credit hours of general education courses (from the ASN listed) within a maximum of four consecutive semesters, not counting summer.
- None of the courses may be repeated to attain either the 3.0 (B) course and/or cumulative GPA. If an applicant has taken the course at a college or university other than Cox, it will not count as a repeated course.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all of the completed courses listed on the program application.
- Must meet all other required program qualifications.
- Meet the application deadline for the cohort you wish to apply.
- Must be math proficient or have passed intermediate algebra, or equivalent, with a grade of "C" or better.

for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Entry (BSN-E) Program
BSN program application
BSN – Entry - The first fifteen correct and completed applications received will be admitted under the GAP program. All applications received after the maximum number has been reached will be placed in the regular acceptance process.
- Meet the application deadline for the appropriate nursing program.
- BSN-E applicants must complete the four core science courses (Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition and Microbiology) and 22 additional credit hours of general education courses (from the BSN-E listed) within a maximum of four consecutive semesters, not counting summer.
- None of the courses may be repeated to attain either the 3.0 (B) course and/or cumulative GPA. If an applicant has taken the course at a college or university other than Cox, it will not count as a repeated course.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all of the completed courses listed on the program application.
