Message from the Vice President of Academic Affairs
Welcome to Cox College. Your experiences here will be both exciting and challenging. The fact that you have been admitted means you have already distinguished yourself and will soon be interacting with one of the most talented and creative faculty in the country.
As we share a process of education and learning, we hope to establish within you a set of values that will accompany you throughout your health service career. As part of the Cox Health Systems, fundamental and important values are shared across the various service and educational systems.
Our core values; counting students first, communication, excellence, a belief that nothing is impossible and lifelong learning are reflected in the college at every level of contact. Our vision, to facilitate your growth into health care professionals, capable of leadership, scholarship and innovation, drives our behaviors as educators.
We will never lose sight of the fact that people needing healthcare are in a position of vulnerability and the provision of care is part of a contract of healing that has spanned the generations since our hospital and health system were founded. What you do and how you do it matters in the lives of others.
