Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death and permanent disability for Americans and a considerable challenge for primary care providers. Evolving clinical guidelines and technological advancements add to the complexity of managing cardiovascular disease.  According to the American Heart Association, “coronary heart disease alone caused one of every six death in the United States in 2009;” this equates to 386,324 Americans that have died of coronary heart disease.  “Each year, an estimated 635,000 Americans have a new coronary attack and 280,000 have a recurrent attack.  Approximately every 34 seconds, one American has a coronary event, and approximately every one minute an American will die of one.”1

With current regulatory mandates and evolving healthcare legislation it is imperative healthcare providers are able to navigate this complex process to allow them to better care for patients and increase positive outcomes.

The CoxHealth Heart and Vascular Summit delivers evolving, evidence-based principles for the management of your cardiovascular patients. Explore heart and vasular best practice recommendations, emerging technologies and state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment modalities.

This day and a half conference is designed for primary care providers, cardiologists, practice managers, and others who care for patients with cardiovascular disease in a hospital or clinical practice setting.
