Honor loved ones affected by cancer with CoxHealth’s Knot Forgotten fundraiser
For immediate release
Nov. 21, 2012
CoxHealth, Hulston Cancer Center and the CoxHealth Foundation invite you to celebrate and honor someone who has experienced cancer by purchasing a decorative ribbon “knot” as part of their Knot Forgotten program.
These beautiful bows will adorn Christmas trees inside Cox South hospital and CoxHealth Hulston Cancer Center. Each bow has a card attached with your message remembering or honoring a special person or caregiver who has impacted your life in the fight against cancer. Each “knot” directly benefits cancer patients through the Patient Advocacy Program at the Hulston Cancer Center.
The Patient Advocacy Program was established in 2001 to provide information, education, referral to resources and a helping hand to cancer patients and their families. Last fiscal year, the program served 1732 new patients and helped patients save more than $2,086,274 on prescriptions, transportation to medical appointments and more.
Red “knots” are $5 each, and silver and gold bows are $10 each. Bows may be purchased at the Allenbrand Resource Center, located in the lobby of Hulston Cancer Center (3850 S. National), the information desks in the Cox South North Entrance lobby and the Cox South West Pavilion lobby (3801 S. National), and at www.coxhealthfoundation.com/.
