Novation, a leading health care supply contracting company, recently announced the winners of its annual Standardization Program Awards, presented to hospitals participating in the Novation Standardization Program. The awards have two categories, the Participation Leader Award and the Executive Savings Award. CoxHealth was one of 173 hospitals to be recognized, and one of only 17 to receive both awards.
Novation uses it's Standardization Program to help members drive down costs by helping them reduce variation in their non-clinical preference products while increasing ordering efficiencies.
"In the face of today's challenging economy and the unknown effects of health care reform, efficiency of supply costs is one way hospitals can help the bottom line," said Kathy Harlan, senior director, Novation standardization programs. "Standardization in key product categories provides substantial savings, and each year more and more of the members we serve see these savings through their increased participation."
The Participation Leader Award recognizes institutions that have successfully implemented all 11 of Novation's Standardization Program offerings.
The Executive Savings Award recognizes members who have cumulatively saved more than $250,000 in rebates through the Novation Standardization Program.
