The Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE) has awarded Cox College a $25,000 Default Prevention Grant for the state fiscal year (July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012).
Cox College will use the grant to provide resources and learning opportunities for students that are designed to facilitate student retention and financial literacy, including student loan default prevention.
"The grant allows us to help students understand the need to plan responsibly to deal with the debt they may incur while in college," says Steve Nichols, Cox College director of Financial Aid. This is the second year that Cox College has been awarded the MDHE grant.
