Lorenzo Williams hosts football camp, autograph event to benefit CMN Hospitals

Former Missouri Tiger defensive lineman and team captain Lorenzo "Zo" Williams will host the annual "Lorenzo Williams and Friends Youth Football Camp" at the Lakes Country Indoor Soccer Field, 2334 E. Pythian, on Saturday, July 9.

This first-class football camp will feature several Tiger football alumni, some currently playing in the NFL, as well as many current MU football players. Former Tigers Jeremy Maclin (Philadelphia Eagles), Brad Smith (New York Jets), Sean Weatherspoon (Atlanta Falcons), Blaine Gabbert (Jacksonsville Jaguars), Martin Rucker (Dallas Cowboys), William Moore (Atlanta Falcons), Danario Alexander (St. Louis Rams), Chase Daniel (New Orleans Saints), Atyyiah Ellison (New England Patriots), CJ Mosely (Jacksonville Jaguars), Aldon Smith (San Francisco 49ers), and others are expected to help Zo teach the campers.

Campers will not only learn the fundamentals and skills needed to be successful  on the football field, these athletes will also learn the importance of hard work, dedication and determination off the field, and other important life lessons.

Registration is $40 per child, and spots are limited. All campers will receive hands-on instruction, a T-shirt, camp photo, snacks and drinks, and have an autograph opportunity. Camp will be held 9 a.m.-noon for grades K-5; 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. for grades 7-12. For more information, contact Kelly Anderson at 417/269-1830 or visit www.thezo99.com. Autograph opportunity: Lorenzo Williams will host an autograph opportunity 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 9 at Big Whiskey's American Bar & Grill downtown location (311 Park Central East). Several former Missouri Tigers currently playing in the NFL are scheduled to be in attendance. They include Jeremy Maclin (Philadelphia Eagles), Blaine Gabbert (Jacksonville Jaguars), Brad Smith (New York Jets), Sean Weatherspoon (Atlanta Falcons), Aldon Smith (San Francisco 49ers), Martin Rucker (Dallas Cowboys), William Moore (Atlanta Falcons), Danario Alexander (St. Louis Rams), Chase Daniel (New Orleans Saints), Atyyiah Ellison (New England Patriots), CJ Mosely (Jacksonville Jaguars) and others.

Admission to the autograph session is $25 per person. Or, take advantage of the Big Whiskey's Special for $10 per person with a Big Whiskey's food/drink receipt dated June 24-July 7, 2011 (minimum $10 receipt). Each paid admission allows for up to two individual items autographed (no limit to number of autographs per item).
