Kick-off the Halloween season with Children’s Miracle Network

For immediate release
Sept. 23, 2010

Halloween isn't just about the candy. It's really all about the kids. This year, add helping local sick and injured children to your list of Halloween activities by attending the Children's Miracle Network fundraiser "Frights, Spooks and Witches Brews."

Sponsored by the staff at the Cox North Emergency Department, this fun family event will include prizes, a haunted house tour with trick-or-treating, games, crafts, dancing and snacks. Be sure to attend in costume - there will be costume contests for adults and children. The event will be 4 - 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, at Cox North, 1423 N. Jefferson in Springfield.

Admission is $5 per person, and children aged 1 and younger are free. All proceeds will be donated to CMN of CoxHealth. CMN helps sick and injured children of the Ozarks with medical expenses and medical-related travel expenses, brings primary health care to children who lack access with the C.A.R.E. Mobile, provides education and wellness programs, and more.  For more information call 417/269-KIDS.
