Honor friends, loved ones with “Knot Forgotten”
|
For immediate release Nov. 2, 2009
CoxHealth, Hulston Cancer Center and the CoxHealth Foundation invite you to celebrate and honor someone who has experienced cancer by purchasing a decorative ribbon "knot" as part of our "Knot Forgotten" program.
These beautiful bows will adorn 12-foot Christmas trees in Hulston Cancer Center, the Cox South lobby and in the Cox South West Pavilion. Each bow not only honors a special person in your life - its purchase directly benefits patients through the Patient Advocacy Program at the cancer center.
The Patient Advocacy Program was established in 2001 to provide information, education, referral to resources and a helping hand to cancer patients and their families. This past fiscal year, the program served more than 1800 new patients and helped patients save more than $1.5 million on prescriptions, transportation to medical appointments and more.
Gold bows are $5 each and red bows are $2 each. Bows may be purchased at the Allenbrand Resource Center, located in the lobby of Hulston Cancer Center (3850 S. National), the information desks in the Cox South lobby and the Cox South West Pavilion (3801 S. National), and at the CoxHealth Foundation office (3525 S. National, suite. 204). Program participants are welcomed to honor more than one person, but each bow is designed to accommodate one name.
