Cure Kids Cancer

Eighty-eight percent of all children diagnosed with cancer receive treatments at Cure Kids Cancer hospitals.

Learn more by listening to our Cure Kids Cancer podcast.

Sadly, more than 10,000 children will be diagnosed with some form of pediatric cancer this year, and instead of chasing butterflies, these children will be learning about surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and hospital or clinic visits. Cancer is a devastating disease - especially in children. It changes the lives of entire families.

Despite remarkable advances in treatment, cancer is the leading cause of death in children under age fourteen. World-class physicians and researchers in children's hospitals lead the effort to help children with cancer by providing sophisticated treatments and conducting research, hopefully leading to cures for cancer.

Over the years, the efforts of these physicians and researchers have improved survival rates for children with cancer. Their discoveries for better treatments and cures have been widely disseminated so that children can receive the same standard of care regardless of their hospital's location. Most children respond better to treatments when they can be close to their own home and family.

The important work to fight childhood cancer in local hospitals has not received the attention to funding needed. Cure Kids Cancer works with hospitals, television and radio stations, and corporate partners to raise funds and public awareness for local pediatric cancer programs to help keep kids with cancer as close to home as possible.

What We're Doing

  • Each year, more than 10,000 children are diagnosed with some form of pediatric cancer.
  • Cancer remains the number one disease killer among children.
  • Cure Kids Cancer hospitals treat 88 percent of all pediatric cancer patients in North America.
  • Cure Kids Cancer raises funds to help hospitals provide better treatment options close to home, and helps families who have to travel for treatment with gas and lodging assistance.
  • Cure Kids Cancer funds remain local to help local children with cancer.

About Us
