Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

MRI at the Bone & Joint Center in Springfield, MOThe Bone and Joint Center houses a state-of-the-art MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machine.

Using radio waves and a strong magnetic field, MRI provides remarkably clear and detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues.

Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)

PACS in use for X-ray, CT scans and MRI at Springfield's Bone & Joint CenterA Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) is in use at The Bone and Joint Center.

PACS is a sophisticated digital imaging, distribution and storage system, which can be used with all imaging modalities including X-rays, CT and MRI. This allows images to be distributed electronically and interpreted by physicians on computers from multiple locations at CoxHealth.
