Cox Walnut Lawn is located just north of the Cox South campus on National Avenue in Springfield.
Services located at this 86-bed facility include comprehensive orthopedic care, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, comprehensive wound healing center and foot clinic. The 90,000 square-foot Jane A. and Kenneth E. Meyer Center for Wellness and Rehabilitation, which includes lap and therapy pools, is the first medically-based wellness and rehabilitation center in southwest Missouri to integrate clinical programs with fitness in a supervised environment staffed by qualified medical professionals. Meyer Orthopedic Center is also located on the Walnut Lawn campus.
Visiting Hours Visiting hours are 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. We request no more than two visitors per patient in a room at the same time. Children are welcome to visit, but they must be accompanied and carefully monitored by an adult at all times. Visitors bringing children are urged to make sure that these children are in good health and free of disease, especially colds and fevers.
Visitor Parking Each parking lot is available for visitor use. Handicapped parking is available near each entrance. Please do not park in the driveways directly in front of the main entrances. These areas are reserved for patient loading and unloading.
Cafeteria The cafeteria is open for complete meals during the following hours: Monday through Friday, 7-9:30 a.m., 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., 5-6:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., 5-6 p.m. The grill and salad bar are open from 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Snack items, beverages and fruit are also available during these hours.
Gift Shop Magazines, cards, toiletries and gift items are for sale in the Gift Shop, located in the West Lobby. Hours are: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can reach the Gift Shop at 269-9645.
Chapel Patients and visitors are invited to meditate in our chapel, which is located just beyond the East Lobby Information Desk. The chapel is always open.
