If you know Springfield, you probably know Cox North, or the hospital that was known as Burge Hospital dedicated in 1906. Cox North has a strong history of caring for people in the Ozarks. Today, new technology, increased medical staff and a family atmosphere make Cox North a quality caring place.
Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. We request no more than two visitors per patient in a room at the same time. Children are welcome to visit, but they must be accompanied and carefully monitored by an adult at all times. Visiting hours for patients in the critical care areas may be limited because of the patient's special needs.
Visitor Parking
Visitors are encouraged to park on the Robberson Ave. (west) side of the hospital across from the main entrance.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria is open 6-10 a.m. for breakfast; 11 a.m.-1:45 p.m. for lunch; and 4:30-7 p.m. for dinner. Hot meals also are served 2-3 a.m. At other hours, snack items, beverages, fruit and desserts are available in the cafeteria. If you wish to know what is on the day's menu, call 269-FOOD (3663). The recorded message announces the entrees, vegetables, soup, diet menu and frozen yogurt.
Stella's Family Styles
A beauty salon and barber shop, Stella's Family Styles accommodates patients and visitors alike. The salon, located on the ground floor around the corner from the cafeteria, is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call 269-3115 to make an appointment.
